Nearly 60,000 people died in England due to respiratory illness in 2022

Across England, 59,475 people died due to respiratory illness in 2022, the equivalent of 107 deaths per 100,000 people.

RADAR analysis of the data exposes that deprived areas have more respiratory illness.

This is a particular concern in our campaign given damp and mould in the home can cause serious respiratory illness, which can be fatal, and that the Government green schemes are aimed at people in fuel poverty.
