In March 2025, How We Made Your Mother launched — a legendary flashback podcast hosted by How I Met Your Mother co-creator Craig Thomas and Josh Radnor, who played Ted Mosby. Together they revisit the show episode by episode, exploring what made it so timeless and beloved.

The podcast is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Until recently, fans could also watch the full episodes on YouTube. Seeing Craig and Josh interact face-to-face added something special; the expressions, the laughter, the chemistry that makes the show come alive.

After a short break in September, the podcast returned in October with Season 2, when they announced they would no longer post full episodes on YouTube. Fans everywhere have been missing that visual connection and the YouTube community that came with it. I’ve seen it firsthand in my own DMs, in Spotify comments, on Reddit, and across Instagram.

As @swarleymemes, the owner of one of the biggest How I Met Your Mother fan pages with over 140,000 followers combined on Instagram and TikTok, I’ve seen how much fans love the visual format. I used to create reels from the YouTube episodes, which helped more people discover and fall in love with the podcast. Without the visual version, that’s no longer possible and the show loses a huge part of its connection and reach.
