I don't have the words for how grateful I am. On June 17, uniQure announced that after a meeting with the FDA, the agency agreed that the existing 3-year AMT-130 data can serve as the primary basis for an accelerated approval application, with a submission planned for later this year. They also signaled a path that would drop the sham-surgery requirement in the confirmatory study. This is the reversal we fought for.

To the FDA: thank you for listening, and for your commitment to families who have waited far too long for hope.

To our sister HD organizations — the Huntington's Disease Society of America, HD Reach, the Huntington's Disease Foundation, and the Huntington's Disease Youth Organization — thank you for standing shoulder to shoulder with us. This was never one group's fight.

And to this community — the 40,000+ of you who signed, shared, and refused to stay quiet — you are the reason our message could not be ignored. Every signature carried a name, a family, a life.

We're not at the finish line yet. But today, the road ahead looks different than it did before. Thank you for walking it with us.

With gratitude and hope,
Katie Jackson
