The Bureau of Land Management in Oregon discourages placement of at-risk wild horses with sales rate hike
The same tax-payer funded facility who wants to partner with Oregon State University to conduct population control experiments on Americas pregnant wild mares is price gouging would be buyers of 3-Strikes wild horses to discourage them from going to good homes. The Bureau of Land Management (BoLM) in Oregon at the notorious Hines facility is asking 5 times as much money for each 3-Strikes wild horse on the Internet for Sale. All the other facilities across the nation ask $25. For their starting bid. The $25. price is an incentive because keeping horses for a lifetime is an expensive and honorable commitment. Read more about Oregon BoLM's unfair requirements here: http://protectmustangs.org/?p=9705
Keep in mind this is another example of poor customer service in the BoLM Adoption and Sales program. It's curious that the head of the Bureau of Land Management uses an alleged lowered adoption rate to justify sterilization with Pesticide PZP for certain herds and QUICK STERILIZATION for the majority of herds.
Yes they are planning to wipe them out and any group or person pushing PZP, GonaCon or other forms of sterilization are only agreeing with the Overpopulation LIE and "playing along with BoLM".
Are you going to support this corruption or are you going to become a VOICE for the Voiceless wild horses and burros of America?
This was in the news yesterday:
"The U.S. Bureau of Land Management’s National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board meets Thursday to discuss managing the overpopulation.
The major topic of the meeting is population control, including the use of a sterilization drug called PZP.
“We used to have quite a number of adoptions that took place nationally that help take most of those horses that we were gathering, off the range," said Neil Kornze, U.S. director of the Bureau of Land Management. "That has, for the most part, disappeared. And so we still have the strong increase in population every year, but we don’t have the private individuals stepping forward in the way they used to.”
Many people have been discouraged by BoLM when they wanted to adopt wild horses. Some have been brought to tears because the BoLM's customer service was so horrid.
It's obvious that the BoLM wants their adoption program to FAIL so they can KILL or STERILIZE all the wild horses except for a couple of reproducing herds. Those few herds would be managed with Pesticide PZP which will sterilize them over time and wreck havoc in the species with the end of natural selection. Is this what you want? Are you aware that the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign (AWHPC) works with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) the registrant of Pesticide PZP--to PUSH Pesticide PZP as "humane management" for all the wild horses and burros in America. Why are they ignoring the DANGERS of Pesticide PZP? Read about that here: http://protectmustangs.org/?page_id=6922 So why would these groups and their coalition partners push for dangerous Pesticide PZP? What's in it for them?
There is no justification for wild horses to be sterilized. Wild horses are underpopulated in America today. Even if there were 300,000 left in the wild that would be too few to survive human predation and climate change. Did you know they have hired shooters that boast about killing wild horses in places like eastern Nevada right? It's a service welfare ranchers employ because they view wild horses as "pests." HSUS called them "PESTS" to get the EPA to pass the PZP Pesticide registration in 2012. They never provided proof that Pesticide PZP doesn't hurt the environment, etc. Somehow they got a bunch of waivers. . . How much did that cost?
The Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board Meeting will be held in Elko tomorrow--eastern Nevada. Home to welfare ranchers and mustang haters. Plenty of PZP Pushers will attend and at least one sits on the board. This should be quite the dog and pony show.
If you don't like what's going on then go meet with your senators and representative in Congress. The Pro-Slaughter, Pro-Experiment, Pro-PZP lobbyists are meeting with them and throwing down cash. Take a stand for wild horses today! They have no voice and need your help.
