Protect Mustangs
28 Aug 2016
If they don't get picked and find a home on this internet adoption these young mustang mares will get another strike! That would be either their 2nd or 3rd Strike putting them at-risk.
On June 22, 2016 a handful elected officials in the House of Representatives suggested "lovely euthanasia" or worse. These wicked representatives falsely claim captive wild horses aren't wanted for adoption. They are wrong.
Adoption numbers have dropped since the early 90s when investigative reporter Martha Mendoza (AP) uncovered that the Bureau of Land Management (BoLM) was allowing their employees to "adopt" wild horses and quickly receive title without any oversight. The BoLM employees were selling our icons of freedom at kill-buyer auctions wanting horses for slaughter and pocketing the money. . .
Today many good people want to adopt a living treasure of the American West but the Bureau of Land Management's adoption program is a failure--mostly because of bad customer service and rotten marketing. It's not the fault of the wild mustangs. They want to be loved.
Please help Pumpkin (http://protectmustangs.org/?p=9603) and Gaia (http://protectmustangs.org/?p=9596) find a safe home away from BoLM, "lovely euthanasia" or kill-buyers and eventual slaughter. By sharing their posts you can help them get to safety.
Please keep sharing this petition for shade and shelter. Keep the pressure on for the captives and contact your elected officials.
Thank you and Bless you!
With gratitude,
