When I was at Palomino Valley Center last Friday at about 1:00 p.m. helping an adopter save 2 Water Canyon (#WC11) babies, I noticed the staff was acting nervous around me. I asked about all the Beatys Butte wild horses from the recent Oregon Roundup at the facility. I was told they had moved all the mares to Broken Arrow aka Indian Lakes in Fallon, Nevada that morning. . . That facility is CLOSED to the public except for about 2 days a year.
Now after reading the BLM's STERILIZATION EXPERIMENT Environmental Assessment today Im SHOCKED and DISGUSTED they are calling for hundreds of PREGNANT mares from "recent roundups" to use in their SICKO sterilization experiments!
All the mares in holding facilities are are risk now! We need everyone to come together to save them and get them out. Contact me if you want to help get them to safety at Contact@ProtectMustangs.org
Other groups are calling for you to sign their form letter pushing PZP, the pesticide for birth control that causes sterilization after multiple use. Why do that when wild horses are underpopulated outside of the captive pens now? Yes underpopulated.
There are no excess wild horses in America. It's time to call for their right to real freedom and that means freedom from harassment via forced drugging with PZP, more roundups to catch them to give them PZP, freedom from experiments, etc.
PROTECT MUSTANGS is calling for BLM to open the doors of the private facility in Fallon--closed to the public--and for ALL the wild horses to be made available for adoption. The older wild horses should be made available for adoption or sale to go to sanctuaries. Our icons of freedom must NOT be used, harmed and exploited in these HORRIBLE & CRUEL STERILIZATION EXPERIMENTS!
No wild horses should be used for any experimentation, period.
Protect Mustangs wants to ensure no other wild horses will be used for any kind of experimentation. America’s wild horses are naturally fertile for the species to survive through natural selection. Using federally protected wild horses as lab animals for population control experiments is cruel and unusual treatment and must stop now.

We have started a legal fund here to protect them: https://www.gofundme.com/MustangLaw2016
America's wild horses need your help now to stand up and protect them not forcibly drug them, experiment on them or buy into BLM's overpopulation myth. Together we can turn this around!
Many blessings,
Anne
