Earth Day 2015 Today at the national Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board meeting in Columbus Ohio, Protect Mustangs learned that BLM is not going to bring emergency shade and shelter to the destitute victims of helicopter roundups before the summer heat waves hit. The Advisory Board mentioned that using the restricted use pesticide PZP (http://www.epa.gov/pesticides/chem_search/reg_actions/pending/fs_PC-176603_01-Jan-12.pdf) for birth control would result in MORE ROUNDUPS yet the majority of "advocates" who could afford to travel to the meeting from HSUS, AWHPC and The Cloud Foundation continued to support PZP. We believe PZP is a tool the BLM is using to manage wild horses to extinction . . . slowly. Science proves PZP sterilizes after multiple use and wrecks havoc for herd survival.
