Salisbury joins Kannapolis and Burlington in passing resolutions to restore our Piedmont rail service! The Salisbury Post Article does a great job covering the city council meeting and explaining the issues at hand. And perhaps most importantly, instead of just asking Rail Division to make this change, they decided to copy N.C. Secretary of Transportation Daniel Johnson and Governor Josh Stein.
Recently we've connected with North Carolina's premier passenger rail advocacy group All Aboard Carolinas. They have been advocating since NCDOT made the skip schedule changes in 2023. Please check out the organization if you'd like to see train service all across our state!
