The 38 Bus Campaign: One Year On

Dear All,

My name is Liam Foster and I created the 'Bring Back The 38 Bus' campaign in January 2024. If you're receiving this email, it means that you are one of the 722 people that signed the campaign last year, and I'd like to start off by saying that I am immensely grateful to all of you for supporting me in trying to bring back the 38! It genuinely was wonderful to see so many names and positive comments on the campaign wall :)

Sadly however, I have some news to share: It took them a very long time, but Keynsham Council finally got back to me and they have stated that they have no desire for a bus route such as the 38, as the council want to focus more on local transport within the Keynsham boundaries (No doubt some of you will have seen the little yellow K1 on Temple Street), and travelling to Bath doesn't seem to be a priority for them at this time.

I understand that this news will be highly disappointing for many of you (And it certainly is a disappointment for myself), and I can only apologise that it took this long to get an update to you. However, I will be emailing the campaign to First Bus themselves today and I have my fingers crossed that they will listen to us. If you haven't done so already, I would be grateful if you shared the campaign with your friends and family and ask them to sign it too :)

I'd also like to take the opportunity to thank Keynsham Voice and The Week In for featuring the campaign on their websites -

And also to KCFM Radio for running a feature on the campaign and Keynsham buses in general :)

Thank you for reading,

Liam <3
