Tomorrow council will vote on a motion introduced by councillors Mike Layton and Josh Matlow for city staff to come up with recommendations for safety rules for rideshare and taxi drivers.
This is a crucial first step in the campaign, and we need to make sure that it gets strong support. If you could spare a minute to send an email or, even better, call your city councillor’s office and tell them you will be watching how they vote tomorrow, our family would greatly appreciate it.

As your constituent, I am very concerned about the lack of safety training for rideshare and taxi drivers. I hope you will support councillor Layton’s motion tomorrow for Municipal Licensing and Standards to investigate safety training for as a requirement for transporting members of the public and I will be watching your position on this issue closely.
We appreciate everyone who has helped our campaign so far. Let's correct this broken policy that puts Torontonians at risk, and make sure that what happened to our little brother does not happen to anyone else.
