The final big PUSH...
I have been working on different letters to different people who NEED to read them...law makers and law breakers...For in Jan I will email them all...
I am hopeing we can break the 10,000 mark but I am so thankful for all who have signed!
If there is one thing this peteiton has taught me ...is that there is still a lot of good people out there..People who are kind and helpful..Just trying to get by in a world that seems hell bent on trying to break Us in two.
Alot of different Stats that I was not even aware of...The price of Uni...the differnent amounts that We are having to pay in RENT!!!
Somedays I am just feeling OLD...out of touch it seems...While I try to get through another Celebration without MY SON...it's been 6 years this time and I will tell you it never gets any easier..Not when you have lost a child.. I wonder if he see's all of Us struggling here and shaking his Head...He was a bit of a free sprit..if it didn't fit in his dufflebag he really didn't need it..
Use to be so many people trying to keep up with the Jones..now they know that tehe Jones are just as broke as them...No money for the extra's,Waiting in endless LINE Ups for a little bit of help to get through this month..Again My bills are not going to stop this MONTH just because it is Christmas...
I spendt yesterday looking for cheaper insurance on my car...Yes I do have a car..its not near new..in fact its 12 years old now so I took colliosion off..3 differnt places gave me quotes that were at least 40 dollars a month cheaper than what I pay now...Now 40 bucks for someone might not seem like a lot but for me well its ALOT..So I called my insurance company to explain...I got a OUR BAD..we didn't lower it after the 2023 started and the last ticket you had was taken off your driving record...Yes I had a speeding ticket..I drove for a living 8 hours a day 5 days a week,so ya sometimes I got a speeding ticket cause work is saying hurry up but dont speed...seriously...Starting next month they are charging me less to make up for the mistake..I don't see this as much HELP...What they did was I see Steal from me 40 a month for over a year! But again the big company holds all the cards...I can cancel my insurance now go though all the BS of finding a new carrier..but I will not recoup the extra money I was charged..So I am stuck until April next year...but I guess it is what it is...
Christmas shopping this year was anything but fun...How to stretch a dollar into 2 was the game...And I know I am not the only person who is doing this...I don't see the happy faces on people as I am walking around...I am a people watcher its what I do...So many times I have seen people pick something UP look at it fondly and then PUT IT BACK..I can see the stress and stuggles they are having...just like everyone else...I am not seeing the Joy of the season in anyone it seems...The happy chatter with strangers I use to hear s not there anymore..People it seems are just rying to do their best..and thats all any of Us can do...
When over 50 percent of what we bring in has to go to the Ridiculos amounts the RENTS are charging...I am not good in math...but the numbers they don't work OUT!!
People are stuggling with just about everything...the price of food, heat, rent , even a bus pass is what we need every month..that doesn't chage just because of the holidays!!!
I still have to get my grocieries deliveried..I have a really bad crippled left leg and I can't get the stuff in myself..I need both my hands to walk up and down stairs...let alone with any bags or packages in them..I was useing a company called INSTA CART...I am sure many people have heard of this service..but Let me let you in on a few FACTS that I found.
Walmart had their RIBS on sale last week..a decent price 6.97 a box..it will do me for 2 meals if not 3...I have the walmart page UP and the INSTA CART page as well...I jump back and forth to see which is the best deal...What I found was really an eye opener for ME...The exact same ribs..same week..same Walmart was 1 dollar more with INSTA CART..that they had the sale price at 7.97 a box... Well now I wnat to know WHY..the flyer clearly states they are 6.97....I sent email to Cart and asked why the differnet prices..I didn't like the answer one little bit...WE have to cover our overhead..so Yes we have charged more!!! I already have to pay a surcharge for delivery and of course the TIP and the dleivery price itself...so why do they get to charge me more than the Walmart flyer says???? This is just one example...they do it on a lot of items....It may well be nickles and dimes..but its my nickels and dimes that they are taking from me...ripping me off...So If you are a person who using this service..maybe take a extra look at their prices..compared to the stores flyers....Me myself will never use the COMPANY again!!! But with my rent taking so much of my money...Yes I have to spend a long time doing price checks!!!
All of US are just barly getting by it seems...theaft is UP in shopping lifting but not for expensive clothes or luxuries..It is UP at Walmart food, superstore..saveon and all the rest...People are having to try and steal to feed their family and that is wrong in so many ways Yes it is wrong to shoplift we all know this...but taking a loaf of bread or some apples..so our kids can eat!!! If the rent was lower than guess what so would the shoplifting....If we could afford everything we NEED not the WANTS THE NEEDS..then we would not have to resort to shoplifting.
I still have not gotten anything In my apartment fixed..Nada nothing not one little thing...3 times in 2 months I have had people try and break in..being on the ground level I am an easy target..good thing I dont scare easy I guess..
Last week I was going to take out my trash to the disguesting dumpster..there we 2 people shooting UP in MY hallway...Tehy looked at me LIke I was borthering THEM!
2 nights ago..I hard yet another racket outside my window...someone was trying to get up onto the balcony above me...WHY..so they could get into the windows on each level..and sleep for the night somewhere kinda warm...THEY HAVE NO PLACE TO GO!!! They are homeless..the shelters are all full...they can't afford to rent a place they have NO WHERE TO GO!!!
This is CANADA...and this is not not right no matter how you look at it!!!
We don't want 10 year programs we need help NOW not in 10 years...somepeople won't make it for the next 2 months..let alone 10 years...All of the low income housing Is at least a 3 year WAIT...I can't wait that LONG!!! Either Can a lot of families...with children who are looking at homelessness NOW TO!
So with this last big push...please keep passing it on....we need all the numbers we can get...to finally take it to the law makers and tell them
WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!
WE DESERVE a decent place to LIVE THAT WE CAN AFFORD!!
WE ARE IN TROUBLE NOW....and WE are about to make a lot of NOSIE about this cause we have strength in OUR NUMBERS and we will fight tooth and NAIL..to get JUST not what we want but WHAT WE NEED..to survive ..Food and heat should never again as I have said be a RENT OR FOOD OR HEAT>>OR EVEN A BUS PASS.
