Thanks for signing: This is an ongoing deliema for me with my apartment and Management COMPANY..who I pay on time every month for 3 years!
In Sept it rained for 3 days and nights...I was ready to build an ark. At about 11pm, I went to the kitcen...I had 2" of water all over my living room, No windows were open, I was baffled at first..where did this water come from..I of course called the 24 hour emerg number cause that's what its for and 2" of water in my living room and creaping up is kinda a emergency too Me..but that's just me.
After 2 hours 3 phone calls some guy from maintence shows up looks at my small lake and says I quote: Is THIS THE 1ST TIME..it has flooded, Yeah it is..YOUR LUCKY! After a few hours and a small heater the water backed up and out. Now I had no TV or Printer because the cords were under water! I don't claim to know much about tech stuff but under water is not GOOD.
I sent numberous emails and pictures to the Management company and heard nothing for 2 months! I have a TV now I borrowed and no printer! The management finally called me yesterday..and their reply is unreal!
The foundation needs to be fixed! Not my problem and I have renter insurance with the company! No claim...WE ARE GOING TO MOVE YOU!!...seriously..instead of a claim You want me to move to a different suite... Instead of dealing with my TV and printer and insurance..we will move you ! NO! I am not moving...I have a broken Leg to begin with now they want me to pick up all my shit and move across the parking LOT! OH NO WE WILL MOVE YOU! sure you will move the stuff. who has to pack it, unpack it, change all my mail, cable, epcor, and everything else ya gotta do when you MOVE!
I spoke with the on site manager this morning. 3 other people Flood on a regualer basis...4 apartments can't be rented because of water damage. but moving me to a different suite is their answer!
How about this Use some of the 1000's of dollars you get from all the properties you have and fix the dam foundation. Why because it cost to much..NOT MY PROBLEM! Yet again I am stuck because this is the cheapest place in ETOWN!
It is time we told the big managment company's and landlords to stop taking our hard earned money for too much dam rent and NOT FIX ANYTHING!
I have 5 different things I need fixed..yet nothing is ever getting done in 3 years!
Every year my rent goes UP..My maintence gets less.
Enough already keep siging tell them we are sick and tired of being ripped off..Paying way to much! For a place to call home! I don't feel like it's a home why becuse I hate it here..but I am stuck..moving me close to a dumpster that is forever disguesting with overflow, trash everywhere,. Even if I wanted to move I could be worse OFF!
