Hi Mark, Thanks again for your time yesterday. Below are the responses to the questions and topics raised on the call. Please let me know if there are any follow up questions. Comment on Change.Org Our goal with the new desktop redesign was to remove the clutter, simplify, align desktop and mobile experiences and focus on features that provided the most value for our global member base. Prior to ramping our new design, we met with thousands of members from around the world and closely looked at our research and data to deliver a cleaner and more improved experience. Since we’ve rolled out the redesign we’ve also continued to listen and evaluate member feedback, and as a result we’ve brought back several free search features such as Saved Search, text field search (e.g. for company, school, job title, name, etc.) and Boolean search (AND/OR/NOT). We want to thank our members for their feedback as we continue to look for ways to deliver a valuable LinkedIn experience. Here is a summary of what we discussed: How you Rank - has been has been removed, and we do not have plans to bring back. We do have other analytics available, such as Who's Viewed Your Profile or views, details on who’s paying attention to what you post with new content analytics. Site Speed – With regard to site speed, overall we've found the desktop experience is a lot faster to navigate, and we're continuing to make improvements. We would also recommend checking that you are on the latest browser. We can help troubleshoot if you need it. Here is also a help center article that is helpful. Adding connections - this is not something we’ve changed with the redesign. In accordance with our User Agreement, we do encourage only inviting people you know and trust to join your network. If you are are being asked to enter an email address to connect there may be several reasons for this. Our help center article explains more. If your issue is not being resolved please visit our help center for assistance. Notes and Tagging - have been deprecated in our free version and we don't have plans to restore (Members can export their information. Here are instructions for doing so). Notes & Tags continues to be available in Recruiter Lite and Sales Navigator products (Notes & Tags were an existing feature in our recruiter and sales navigator products). Free Advanced Search: We are restoring the following advanced free search features, most of which are already live (also see our blog for more details), which I believe we mostly covered in our last meeting. This includes the following: • Boolean operators were brought back in keyword searches (AND/OR/NOT). • Text search for company page • Text search for first and last name search • Text search for job title search • Text search for school field • Saved Searches, also known as "Saved Alerts" • "Sticky" filters where the search filters remain when keywords or textual search criteria is changed • Location search - we're planning to roll out more granular location filters (Note, Postalcode radius search is not being rolled back into all products, however it will continue to be available in recruiter/sales navigator) Premium Advanced Search including: Years of Experience, Function, Seniority Level, Interested In, Company Size and When Joined are no longer available in our paid premium offering. They are still available in Sales Navigator and Recruiter products. Note, for more details on our premium offerings this is a helpful blog here Would LinkedIn consider returning back the old system? Our redesign is a complete overhaul of our technology architecture, and something we’re taken the time and investment to build from the ground up with input from customers. It now seamlessly aligns with our mobile app, to provide a LinkedIn experience that is more intuitive, faster and creates more value for you - with this new site we can also innovate a lot faster. We have no plans to bring back the old system. Will wait to hear from you on the following: • Searching people/prospects using Boolean and Skills not performing as good as last system – I need to get some examples of this as discussed. • Users struggling to get good results on the advanced search. My response: As already discussed I do not feel, and the majority of users, that the changes have improved our user experience or even necessary. We are effectively paying more (services put into higher charged packages) for a downgrade of service (speed). I will answer the following next week when I have some time to analyse date: “Will wait to hear from you on the following: • Searching people/prospects using Boolean and Skills not performing as good as last system – I need to get some examples of this as discussed. • Users struggling to get good results on the advanced search.” I will continue to use LinkedIn, but I am very disappointed with the recent changes. I hope things change for the better in the future for everybody’s benefit.
