Attention old/new Simpson Fans

Have you ever wondered how Bob ended up in a Maximum Security Prison after Season 12 “The Day of The Jackanapes?”

Well, sit back and relax dear viewer as I proudly present, “S13 E23 A Simpsons Tale of Harbor Bay” aka The Simpsons’s lost episode...

Before you ask, yes I have anonymous sources, yes I have watched it 3 times with my family, yes Bart was trapped on Lady Liberty, and to new time fans, NO I am NOT kidding!

Synopsis

When Homer loses his job, he must find a new one to provide for his family.

Plot

It took us forever to recall the plot of this episode, but... Homer was looking for a job after Mr Burns hired a new Shelbyville Safety Inspector in his place, thus returning to New York City for a job interview. (He could not find work in Springfield)

Only to get distracted by a Hot Dog Cart Owner across the street while Bart got kidnapped in the second half by Bob. (Homer got hungry, while waiting in a long interview line)

Plus, Chief Wiggum was present to get his boating licence in New York Harbor.

Meanwhile, Bob was threatening Bart's life with an Emergency Fire AXE in/outside the Statue of Liberty, after chasing him down a spiral staircase and bursting through an exit door, leading them down another staircase before heading back outside.

Wide shot on Bart regaining balance, as Bob closes in. Making Bart panick. He looks nervous. Bob (Wields axe) Don't bother running Bart. Soon you will be swimming with the fishes.

Terrified Bart backs away from Bob stopping at the edge of the visiting tour garden. Only to be saved by Wiggum, his Former Chief of Police, and Homer thanks to their ingenious rescue plan to catch Bart in a Safety Net... before accidentally, bouncing him on to the New York Ferry.

Meanwhile, Homer's Shelbyville exchange programme replacement (a fat guy in a red checkers T-Shirt and green pants) starts a fire while lounging about the workplace and has Charlie (or another fellow employee) put it out!

Lenny and Carol miss Homer and Mr Burns and Mr Smithers prepare a call to rehire him.

Bonus scene #1

After Bart mocks Bob he cuts him down with a pocket knife, only to leave it down next to him.

Needing a distraction Bart asks Bob about the landmark, to which he would postpone rummaging through his red tool box for a wrench to remove the construction inside pylons, and start stating facts on Lady Liberty. (Thus, stalling for time)

Memo: Bob being an escape criminal was hiding inside Lady Liberty's Crown to avoid the cops and planned on climbing down the back of the Statue to keep a low profile, but Bart venturing the closed off visting tour garden inside exhibite accidentally, stumbled upon Bob and his plans, yet again.

Bob said, "I will take care of you later Bart." Bart uses this opportunity to cut through the ropes (rocking back and forth) and run across the Statue of Liberty, while Bob chases after him.

This is when Bart finds a trap door hidden in Lady Liberty’s joint elbow and quickly slides down the right armed inside torch ladder.

Leading him down a set of stairs that spiral downward with Bob inches away from catching him.

The camera tilts on the pair rushing downward.

We cut to Bart bursting through an exit door and sprinting down another stairway.

Bob stops for a short breather glaring menacingly from a railing as Bart escapes his clutches, only to find an Emergency Fire Axe nailed to the back wall behind him.

Enraged he smashes the glass frame with the attached hammer and continues to hunt down Bart.

Thinking he lost Bob, Bart slows his pace and takes a breather, only for Bob to swing the axe at him.

Bart (Sighs in relief) Safe. Bob (Wields an axe) Guess again Bart.

We then cut to a close up shot on Bob splitting what looks to be Bart's neck, only for the shot to zoom out, revealing he split a yellow pipe.

The rest of the episode plays out as normal as Bob corners Bart at the visiting tour garden of Lady Liberty.

Bonus scene #2

Homer missing his job opportunity and seeing a man get the job buys Marge a hot dog, but worrying for Bart's safety she quickly, refused and pleaded his help!

Homer told her to, "hold that thought Marge" and offered Lisa the Hot Dog. Lisa replied with, "I am a vegetarian" and blurted out Bart's name.

Homer being a lovable idiot, spots Bart on top of the Statue of Liberty shouting, "Hey Bart! Do you a want this Hot Do-? Finally, realizing the situation he drops the Hot Dog and screams in terror.

Panicking Marge asks him to do something, only for him to yank Wiggum's megaphone out his hand and order Bart to jump!

Homer backtracked himself when Marge shot him a look and Wiggum snatched back his megaphone.

Chief Wiggum told Bob (by megaphone) to let Bart go and hand himself in. (Twice)

Bob shot him a disapproving look, however, as Bart tried to slip away, but got caught in the act.

Bart (Laughs nervously) I was just gonna go over there for-

Bob: Bart if you move one more muscle. I swear I will slice you with this axe. And split you down the middle.

Aftermath…

When Marge asked about Bob's escape Wiggum stated, "Well that's easy enough. You see... with Bob here being a minor offender. Nobody even noticed his absence." He continued, "Rest assured Mame we will be keeping a closer eye on this one from now on." (Again, Bob was a fugitive)

The episode ends with Homer getting his job back via a call from Mr Smithers and catching up with the Hot Dog Cart Owner off screen as we cut to black.

Sorry, this dialogue is not perfect, but I only watched the episode 3 times growing up with my family before it was cancelled in (approximately) 2013.

Plus, there was a scene where Marge offered to volunteer for a job before Lisa showed Homer a Newspaper reporting an office job opening in New York City and the Shelbyville Safety Inspector eats peoples's lunches. (We believe he was hungry)

Also, Marge hugs Bart, thus comforting him after his traumatic experience.

For long time fans who remember this masterpiece or newcomers who would love to watch it.

Side note:

If anyone can remember, misses, or would love to experience the bone-chilling thrills of this episode for the first time, I implore you let Fox know.

To new time Fans:

Trust me when I say... this episode was so dark, it was the reason why Bart had severe PTSD in The Great Louse Detective and The Bob Next Door!

The clip in "The Bob Next Door" is referencing this very episode!

Please, share this with your fellow Simpsons fans... we NEED to spread the word!

If anyone knows someone from Fox personally, that is all the better. Please, share your thoughts with ME on this!

P.S. I asked Al Jean, about this on Twitterx, but he never replied yet…?😔🗽🧰🪓🚤
