Dear Supporter,

In about 48 hours, the petition has gathered 2,000 supporters. This is an amazing start! Thank you for the support.

This shows how the sense of community and how strong you feel about the issue. Here are some of the comments made on the petition page (sorry for those not mentioned. You can look at all the comments on the petition page):

JoAn Grane "Keep the tradition !"
Diana Sterling "I’m signing because Ironman needs to keep on the tradition for men and women equally have the opportunity to qualify every year. It’s their yearly hope and dream to qualify for this race. Don’t take their dream away from them."
Ralf Buchner "Ich liebe Triathlon"
Evelyn Verch "Keep the mythos Kona alive"
Alexander Mencin ".....Hawaii die Weltmeisterschaft aus macht. Das Rennen lebt von diesem Mythos. Geld kann Hawaii nicht ersetzen...."

We have had some very nice posts on Instagram from Sam Laidlow, Inside Kona and B Franco Moreu (see the picture on this email).

But like an Ironman, the road is still long to garner enough signatures to put pressure on the Ironman Group and its CEO Andrew Messick to change its decision.

Keep on spreading the word and sharing the petition for people to sign it. If you are posting on social media, you can use the hashtags #BringBackKona and #KeepKona.

If you have ideas of contacts that can help spread the campaign even further, or if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me via Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or email.

Kind regards,

Antoine
