Reality Check - LED streetlight Conversions Were Just Headswaps

As you all may remember, when our Sodium Streetlights were replaced with WHITE/WARM WHITE LEDS, it was just a SIMPLE SWAP IN MOST cities and states. This SIMPLE SWAP was just swapping out THE HEAD/FIXTURE with a "DURABLE LED" head. (first of all, WHITE LEDS ARE NOT DURABLE. Just a reminder). And WHEN THE HEAD WAS JUST SWITCHED OUT, the POLE, INTERNAL/EXTERNAL WIRING was NOT changed! I repeat, NOT CHANGED! This means THAT we WEREN'T just fooled into thinking THESE LIGHTS WERE LONGER LASTING LEDS (back then), A LOT OF PEOPLE believed THE WHOLE ENTIRE STREETLIGHT WAS COMPLETELY replaced. Now, THIS DOESN'T MEAN A FULL CRUSH ON CURRENT CONTRACTS as they are using SOLAR POWERED LEDS to replace EVEN THE OLDER LED STREETLIGHT POLES. But it still DOESN'T ACCOUNT for the BLINDING GLARE AND SOULLESS COLOR OF these LED STREETLIGHTS.


Crossroad's LED Astrophile Series and MANY OF THESE OTHER LED STREETLIGHT companies THAT SPECIFICALLY use 2200K-2500K AND LOWER (which are OFTEN FULL AMBER OR HONEY ORANGE SPECTRUMS) is SOMETHING TO CONSIDER for our NEW BIDDING in ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO. I know I sound like a BROKEN RECORD about these contractors at this point, BUT let me tell you, THEY ARE THE BEST DIAMOND MIND CONTRACTORS for CITIES that "claim" they are, "VYING" for amber streetlights again. If NO OTHER CONTRACTOR out there that MAKES LEDS that REPLICATE THE GOLDEN ORANGE HUE that we all do love and miss, then I don't know what other contractors I can hand out. Access Fixtures IS THE LEADING CONTRACTOR AND MANUFACTURE of the AMBER LED (or the NEW WAVE OF BETTER LED STREETLIGHT TECHNOLOGIES) of the LED STREETLIGHT waves. And this company as well works on contracts and much more. Again, they make 2200K-2500K LED streetlights as well.

Now the AMA still keeps the BAR AT 2500K-3000K (with AMBER HEAD COVERS) that supposed to GIVE THEM THAT 2200K AMBER hue. HOWEVER, this is starting to be another issue. AS COVERS CAN BE MORE EXPENSIVE and CAN BE CONSTANTLY REPLACED. Whether they cracked and THE 3000K light is exposed or the OVERHEAD COVER can often CREATE AN OVERHEATING to the MAIN streetlight. So, the AMA'S BAR is another thing I WILL BE also fighting against AS 3000K is TOO HIGH but it's ALSO A WARM WHITE that's SIMILAR TO YOUR TYPICAL BATHROOM LIGHT or KITCHEN LIGHTS. (THE NEW LED ONES). And these CAN BE A LOT WORSE outside as they tend to HAVE A MUCH NARROWER light band BUT ALSO A HIGHER MOLUCULE SCATTERING. This tends to lead to SHARPER LIGHT POLLUTION along with A BLUER SKY at night.

Again, starting local petitions on this matter, continuing to use my RESOURCE EXCHANGES and JUST SIMPLY SUPPORTING THIS CAMPAIGN brings a LOT OF WARMTH to my own heart! As I KNOW this MATTER OF WHITE/WARM WHITE LED STREETLIGHTS is a part of REAL HUMAN SUFFERING that many other things that HUMAN BEINGS suffer from. WHICH I have to admit, NOBODY SHOULD be suffering. That's NEVER HOW our GOVERNMENTS should've been built on. Unfortunately, EMPIRES RISE AND COLLAPSE.

Let's keep growing this movement, keep pressuring our leaders on this WHITE LED STREETLIGHT CRISIS and LET'S fight for our nighttime sky, wildlife, The Earth and continue to build pressure to our world leaders on LIGHT POLLUTION AND POLLUTION (period)!
