💔 VICTIM’S STORY 💔

Before going to KZ, Dakota was sweet, well-behaved, easygoing, and never aggressive. She suffered extreme animal cruelty while at KZ, including but not limited to being beaten, starved, and restrained under a tarp for days, among other things. The abuse she endured led to aggressive behavior, which resulted in further abuse. Multiple witnesses saw what Dakota went through, including kids who saw her under the tarp and thought she was dead. Kylie & Zac blamed the owner for her behavior and accused the owner of drugging her.

Texas Penal Code 42.09 - Cruelty to Livestock

A person commits an offense if the person intentionally or knowingly:
- (a)(1) tortures a livestock animal;
- (a)(2) fails unreasonably to provide necessary food, water, or care for a livestock animal in the person's custody;
- (a)(8) trips a horse;

"Trip" means to use an object to cause a horse to fall or lose its balance.

* An offense under Subsection (a)(2) is a Class A misdemeanor.
* An offense under Subsection (a)(8) is a state jail felony.
