If your intentions are good- good things happen but if they’re bad then watch out.
No, I’m not watching but I’ve heard Blake Berris is out along with Greg Vaughn who found him self written out with Arianne.
I’m honestly happy to have made the break because it would be too painful to watch this show self combust. And that’s exactly what’s happening.
It was this time last year that Albert Alaar was let go. He had written Ari out of the show with no idea when she would return.
Then after several female cast and crew got angry after an investigation into his behavior He was ordered to undergo sensitivity training and could stay.. they then drafted a petition and Deadline ran a story.. that’s when Ken Corday let Albert Alaar go.
Ari took the brunt of all that. when her contract came up for renew Ken Corday gave her a take it or leave it offer. He wouldn’t negotiate, so Ari left.
The thing is with Steve Burton exiting, Blake Berris getting the axe- he definitely could’ve negotiated.
Now look at what you have.. an obliterated cast that’s now going to rely on its older cast that’s recurring and it younger cast that’s also fairly cheap to employ.. plus the remaining leading male characters left.
Ari was right to be concerned. Letting so many women go was a sign that something was wrong and it shouldn’t have taken an investigation to figure out what that was.
A toxic workplace is like cancer.. it just kept getting worse. It affected the cast and crew and things didn’t get better once Alaar was gone.
The writers strike was going on. Then Arianne’s character being written out along with Greg Vaughn’s.. all when the writers had just come back.
Ari then filing a suit against Ken Corday and Albert Alaar.. the show also allegedly killing her character off screen when Eric returns..
It’s bad… it’s showing us all that Karma is real. You can’t do things and treat people wrong and expect no consequences. You may feel you’ve done things by the book but it doesn’t mean you were right.
And when someone, Ari, tried to bring it to your attention you tried to blame her instead.
She wanted more influence and more money…she tried to denigrate a black man in a position of power….She was offered a pay increase and refused. Our refusal to negotiate wasn’t retaliation..
These men have so much to say.. hopefully they’re ready for court.
