“The allegations in Ms. Zucker’s lawsuit are without merit. Corday Productions offered to renew Ms. Zucker’s contract including offering her a pay increase. Rejecting Ms. Zucker’s counteroffer does not constitute retaliation.” “Complaints about Mr. Alarr’s on-set behavior were promptly investigated. Corday Productions fully cooperated with the impartial investigation and subsequently terminated Mr. Alarr.

Upon becoming Co-Executive producer “Alaar became much more tyrannical, I think he became much more aware of his unilateral power, and that Ken wasn’t going to be involved in decision-making. And I think [Alarr] took the ball and ran with it, and I think it’s ruined the show,” a DoOL veteran said.

There were two Zoom calls with a Sony HR representative during the probe — one for the cast and one for the crew — with Alarr in attendance on both. The calls were for Spotlight on Respect training (formerly known as Prevention of Unlawful Discrimination and Harassment training), with the HR executive explaining what constitutes harassment, what to do and not to do in different situations, etc. According to attendees, Alarr’s presence while the subject was being discussed made staffers, especially those who had been asked to participate in the investigation, uncomfortable.

People who have worked on DoOL had great things to say about Corday but said his office is in another building and he doesn’t have enough of a physical presence at the studi.the cast and crew don’t feel they know him well enough to confide in him about production issues and when Ari did he sent her to someone else.

Following the sale of the studio facility, “Corday still visited the set for special occasions and parties several times a year. “But his presence on the floor had become less and less, and really there is no one to go to,” and Alaar was in charge of everything

Corday didn’t address the investigation internally at the set. He preferred to let it all play out and when Ari offered suggestions he replied angrily to her not knowing what to do about Alaar’s harassment intensifying.

Rather than protect his actresses he sided with Alaar until public pressure forced him to fire him.
