It takes a lot of courage to stand up for yourself and others. 
in Ari’s case the abuse had been happening for years. There was no HR on site and even when things did get reported they would get brushed under the rug.

She saw and was victim to the abuse. A number of female actresses had even left the show because of the toxicity on the set.

You can either stay silent and remain a victim or you can deal with the matter and try to make things better for yourself and your co-workers. 
Arianne chose to report harassment knowing that she may face repercussions which could include losing her job of 25 years.

In episodes currently airing, her character has been written off. 19 episodes without her character will air and her storyline was a front burner storyline. 
She was written off and not told when she would be back. It was only when she got her lawyer involved that she returned and after Albert Alaar was released from his job.

Thats a months worth of shows and a sizable amount of income she didn’t receive. 
It also affected her co-stars that were part of this story. Their screen time was reduced too.

These episodes were shot in August and airing in February. February sweeps are huge, even if your show is now only airing on Peacock.
