Tennis falls off the Council's Agenda

Dear all, There is an ETS committee this week and I had hoped that tennis facilities would be high on the agenda, sadly not a mention. It is now a year since I first heard about the council's intended funding cuts for tennis facilities and whilst it has been an eventful year I thought that tennis would remain a priority until a solution had been found. If it has fallen off the council's radar so will the funding that is available for this year, the courts will deteriorate further and become less attractive for future operators. We have already heard that the astro courts in Hove Park have now deteriorated beyond safe use and are unlikely to be replaced. This could become the norm all over the city. I know you care about losing these facilities. Please do your best to keep them at the front of mind of all councilors who will decide on their future reminding them of what a well used and popular resource they are and how all the evidence points to them being a sustainable resource if the council charge and collect appropriate fees for all. This is working all over the county with many councils seeing it as a source of revenue rather than a burden to the public purse. Please let ETS councillors know your feelings, they are listed below. Take Care Des
