On Wednesday (12/01/21), Sebring bear killer John Falango got a continuance and pleaded "NOT GUILTY" in Circuit Court. He is ordered back in court on January 19, 2022, at 9:00 AM.
We want to commend the FWC officers and biologists responsible for gathering evidence and charging John Falango. Sadly, the killing of two FL black bears has only resulted in misdemeanor charges. Misdemeanors are considered less serious crimes. This case is a prime example of why animal protection laws need to be stronger and punishments harsher.
Let's work together to make sure John Falango is convicted on all counts for shooting and killing a mother bear and her cub, which left two cubs orphaned.
