Kaitlyn Hunt knew that preying on her fourteen-year-old victim was wrong when she began.
She was repeatedly warned by the girl's parents to leave the girl alone, but she disregarded their right to protect their child from her. After the child ran away from home, she brought the child to her house, in the middle of the night, to have sex with her. When she was arrested, she and her family initiated a campaign of bullying, harassment, and victim-blaming against her victim's family.
These are not the actions of an innocent girl in the throes of passion. These are the actions of a predatory adult who manipulated a little girl into allowing her to violate her physical and psychological integrity. If Hunt didn't worry about causing her victim emotional harm, or about introducing STDs into her mouth and vagina; then we as a society shouldn't worry about limiting Hunt's future or putting her in prison. In addition, her entire family participated in and should be sued for slander and libel against the victim's family.
Let's take a stand to protect all children, be they gay or straight, from predators of all ages.
