Honestly...

Good morning each and all, Where we find ourselves is yet more in shock than grief - not for us the five-stage progression;denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Neither are we alone in our state of shock. We are only now seeing the emergence of ideas of a possible future of continuing EU membership emerging in the media. With articles from Vernon Bogdanor; https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jul/19/second-referendum-britain-eu-leaders-listen and Anatole Kaletsky; https://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jul/27/brexit-can-the-eu-persuade-the-uk-to-change-its-mind#comments Also, with the possible invoking of Article 50 being many months away, and each day bringing the reality of our current and likely economic prospects into focus, the desire for an equitable resolution; dare I say, rapprochement, is growing in the hearts and minds of the powerful. The necessity too, for this possible future to be more favourable in Democratic and economic terms for the citizenry of the EU, is sure to be felt by the too-long ignored peoples of the whole of Europe. It is vital then for there to be a corrective popular platform for the citizenry to direct the progress of the inter-governmental negotiations to include a far greater role for the electorates of EU member states in EU affairs. We are a part of that 'corrective popular platform'; there are many others - many other organisations, that share our sense of shock and that are only now coming to realize that a positive solution can be found. For instance: I am aware that DiEM25 is undergoing a revamp of its organisation and its online presence - soon to be completed. I hope to play a greater part in that too, and with that renewal will come a greater awareness of the part you and I are playing in forging a citizen-centred future for the peoples of Europe.
