We, the owners of the Tool Box, greatly appreciate the support we have recieved from the Iowa City community. We have been delighted by the outpouring of positive responses we have recieved from all aspects of the community.

The Tool Box is much more than an adult bookstore. Our goal is to provide a space where people can feel comfortable purchasing books and toys as well as bath products, candles, stickers, and jewelry. While the "adult" products are a large part of our inventory, they are not our sole focus.

In accordance with zoning regulations, our adult products will not take up more than 25 percent of our floor space and will not be visible to those under 18. We feel that there is nothing obsene about our business and are greatly disappointed that we have been judged as such.
