We did it everyone! Flipping Out fans made it loud and clear that this cause is important, and near and dear to their hearts. It’s been an incredible ride. It’s not every day that a knee-jerk decision to support someone in an internet campaign turns into a momentous week! People are definitely talking right now. I hope in some small way, this tips the scales in Jeff’s favor. I read as many comments on the petition as I could yesterday, and it was clear to me that Jeff, Gage, and Monroe all have a huge following. Remember when Conan O’Brien lost the Tonight show back in 2010? This strange internet phenomenon occurred. Conan had Tom Hanks on I think like his second episode of The Tonight Show. And Tom Hanks happened to call Conan “Coco”. Fast forward to the drama with NBC, and something interesting happened. All of his loyal fans just jumped on board with the Team Coco movement. It didn’t save things at NBC, but that base supported him, and followed him to his next gig. Granted, Team Coco currently has 712K followers. While I didn’t think we would blow up that big, 50,000 people is worth noting though. So will this petition get the legal team at Bravo to move on getting Jeff Lewis in another contract, and Flipping Out to get picked up another season? Or will Netflix or someone else pick them up? I’m not sure. I mean, I sure do I hope so. What I do know is that one, we got people talking. And two, this did entertain Jeff. And three, maybe Flipping Out will get a ratings bump with all the buzz right now and end up ahead. It was a heck of a ride, and it was my pleasure to help with it. - Andrew Holdaway
