I'm back on here to spread the word about a local youth organization called Youth 4 Change that is working hard to get "Student Resource Officers," SROs, out of Brattleboro Union High School and Brattleboro Area Middle School. SROs are tools of the School-to-Prison pipeline and do NOT cultivate a comfortable or supportive environment in our schools, specifically for BIPOC youth who are the most likely to be targets of punitive racial violence and discrimination. Youth 4 Change has a few dedicated members but they really want to expand and get the word out. They meet every 1st and 3rd Mondays from 5:30-7pm.
