The hedge row along 18th Street will be destroyed. This is short sighted and while embedded in a campus vision plan, this specific action is being done without consultation. Many people have expressed concerns: environmental, social, and political.

There are many things we can do to make the front yard of BU more welcoming. Tearing down a 50+ year hedge because a small number of people consider it a barrier is disappointing. 

The administration at BU has heard the concerns many people have expressed but are still proceeding with the destruction. Why can they not just hit the pause button and hear everyone's ideas for moving forward? Once gone, it is gone forever.
