Take Action Against American Horse Slaughter & End Exportation Slaughter
The Issue
Problem
According to the Humane Society of the United States, over one hundred thousand horses are brutally slaughtered for human consumption after inhumanely being transported across U.S. borders where slaughter is unregulated.
Often, these are healthy, viable animals that could have led productive lives if given an opportunity.
Furthermore, their meat is not fit for human consumption as they are often treated with chemicals over the course of their lives.
Solution
Congress must act to end this cruel practice by passing HR 113/The Safe Act- which would prohibit the exportation of horses for slaughter.
Personal story
On Monday, December 10th, this petition will be presented to Georgia Senator Brandon Beach. Please help us collect as many signatures as possible in the next SIX days.
