We are writing you today on the behalf of an entire group of animals that the law, as well as society, has allowed to live in the shadows. These animals know only a life of torment and confinement. Under what justification can we as a society look to protect only certain groups of animals and cast out others? Pigs are intelligent, emotional, and cognitively complex. It’s time for any abuse of these animals to become unlawful. Abuse can be physical, psychological, or physiological. There are many people fighting the existing system for change. We represent only one campaign. Our campaign is asking you, Congressman Brad Sherman, to give us your time. This abuse is happening right here in Los Angeles. Please help us stop this.
