I called the Congressman's L.A. and D.C. offices

I spoke with the Congressman’s staff at both his Los Angeles and D.C. offices on June 5th. I was politely instructed to send a detailed email and a link to this petition to his Legislative Director. I explained in this email that we want the pigs to have enforceable protection under the law. I also asked how to proceed with getting a meeting with Congressman Brad Sherman to discuss this issue. I am waiting for a response. We need to continue to come together and push for the long overdue change. Our numbers need to continue to grow. I don’t anticipate that this is going to be easy.
