Bracknell Forest Council attempt to reassure us

Wow what an amazing show of love & support for this piece of Bracknell history! There have been just over 1,000 signatures per day, let’s keep it going! Even though the future of Easthampstead Park is actively being considered and the house and grounds are still a potential development site currently being reviewed: Bracknell Forest Council have recently commented that they have “an intention to see Easthampstead Park protected” and “have no current desires to redevelop it”. Unfortunately while on the face of it this is a positive response; it does nothing to detract from the fact IF Easthampstead Park is sold the council will have little or no powers to protect it and as such it’s a long way from a formal commitment to protect the house & grounds along with retaining it as a community asset.
