Dear Boycott UPenn Petition Supporters,

Our focus remains on effecting a change of leadership in UPenn's Administration. But now decisions are also being made at the professor level, as alumni decide to align their wallets with their personal values.

We want to share with you one such decision where a UPenn family pulled its professorship funding based on the underwritten professor's public statements made "in a personal capacity" that "appear to endorse hatred and violence" (attached image).

*** We believe extreme caution and meticulous investigation are absolutely essential when deciding whether professors have crossed the line of freedom of expression into territory that violates School codes by teaching and publicly preaching hatred, intimidation, and discrimination against members of our community.***

Meanwhile, we encourage donors to continue to investigate whether the professorships they endow have crossed the line of their own personal values with what their endowed namesake professors are teaching and writing in the public domain.
