The hunt was cut short after 182 wolves were wiped out. What was the point?

The unrestrained bloodlust behavior that is allowed in the US is staggering to the 21st century mind. And all explanations seem to get summed up in hypocritical freedom of speech and freedom of expression. Most of these killers call themselves devout Christians and are found of the political far right, meaning they are driven by one fear or another, usually many. 

We have doomed the wolf not for what it is, but for what we deliberately and mistakenly perceive it to be – the mythologized epitome of a savage ruthless killer – which is in reality no more than a reflected image of ourself.
