Donald Trump Jr.'s trip to mongolia to hunt endangered argali sheep last August cost taxpayers more than $76,000.

When news broke about Don Jr.'s trophy hunt of the endangered sheep, the Center for Biological Diversity fought for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to investigate.

Argali sheep have long been threatened by hunting— the species is protected as threatened under the U.S. Endangered Species Act.

Though Don Jr. reportedly killed this animal without a hunting permit, a permit was eventually issued by Mongolia — but only after Trump Jr. reportedly met with its president.

"If we're going to halt the extinction crisis, we can't let trophy hunters pay to ignore the Endangered Species Act and kill imperiled species for fun," said Tanya Sanerib, international legal director at the Center.

Now, the latest news surrounding Trump Jr.'s hunting trip reports the trip cost taxpayers $76,859.36 — a whopping $60,000 more than the government previously disclosed, according to documents obtained by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
