American trophy hunter Chris Peyerk has controversially been given permission to take home a trophy of a CRITICALLY ENDANGERED Black Rhino that he killed for ‘sport’ in Namibia. Thanks to the current US-President lifting the ban on these kind of imports.
It’s time to take stock of trophy hunting. For most of our existence as Homo sapiens, we have been hunters as well as gatherers. Trophy hunting, however, is something else entirely. It is entirely about greed. The greed of a man acting like a spoiled child, trying to kill something to compensate for his feeling of impotence.
Under Armour calls that "Lifestyle" and is there to create and sell these (in)humans everything they need and want on equipment.
Please boycott this vile company.
Chris Peyerk isn't the only trophy hunter in his family. His father, Dan Peyerk, and mother, Charlotte Peyerk, are also trophy hunters, as is his brother, Mark Peyerk. His mother and brother were fined in federal court in 2013 after they admitted to illegally killing a grizzly bear on a hunt in Alaska: https://heavy.com/news/2019/09/chris-peyerk/#targetText=Peyerk%20isn't%20the%20only,on%20a%20hunt%20in%20Alaska
