Teaching children to kill has repercussions. In this case a 13 year old thought it ok to shoot another child with a crossbow bolt. The bolt went through the kid's body and into the arm on his brother. Teaching children that it is ok to kill wild animals for fun might contribute more to this particularly American dilemma that is admitted. America is obsessed with killing. We seem to be the worst combination of violence and paranoia. Constant school shootings, unnecessary police killings of Black citizens, mass murders like the recent shooting in Las Vegas, trophy hunters posing grinning for pictures with carcasses, gang violence, drug violence, violent video games that sell like hot cakes, rampant misogyny like it is still the middle ages, the list is endless. Our morals keep declining while our entitlement increases. Wake up, America.
