Happy Sunday Everyone,

I did not come across any overtly (or covertly) racist media posts after the draw on Thursday, so in this case, no news was good news.

Have we already scared the media into thinking twice before they print? I don't know, but we have until December 2024 to get the additional 65k signatures we need for a Parliamentary debate and that's more than enough time to catch them, if they slip back to old ways.

The population of the UK is 66 million, so I cannot believe that only 34000 of us are against racism in the media, or anywhere else. Time will tell. 

Standing up to such major players, isn't something that many people would consider wise or worthwhile, but I've never wanted to be part of the masses, and neither do you. Thanks again for your support. I ask you to keep this petition in mind and to continue talking about, and sharing it. I started this petition, 13 days ago and it's been an eye-opening experience, but it doesn't end here.

I'll be posting less updates, as we struggle to get some of the 65+ million who haven't signed yet, to do just that. Eventually. We won't give up.

I want them to win the Euro 2024 cup,  as much as I want our government to enforce new laws for journalism. 

Enjoy the (unpredictable) summer. When I receive a response from an MP, I'll let you know, but until then, I am going to focus on trying to rebuild my life and business, which were both destroyed along with my home in a fire just over two weeks ago.

Your time and commitment to this cause, has helped make a traumatic experience, less so. Thank you.
