Major Victory!!! Mayor Merola of Bologna has raised his concerns! & Protest This Friday at the UN in New York ► Attention New York are activists! There will be Protest against the South Korean Dog Meat Trade this Friday from Noon to 2pm in front of the United Nations Office (East 43rd Street and 1st Avenue). Click below for more info: https://www.facebook.com/events/1735833516660409/ Organizer of this event is Sanja. Contact us with any questions: http://koreandogs.org/contact-us/ ► We have just received wonderful news from our Italian volunteer that, in direct response to our campaign, Mayor Merola of Bologna, Italy, has taken action and written to Seongnam’s Mayor Jae-Myung Lee. Click for our campaign page. (http://koreandogs.org/friendship-city-campaign-seongnam-south-korea-bologna-italy/) Our Sister City Campaign has been urging the City of Bologna to speak out against the horrendous cruelty in Seongnam, which is their new Friendship City, as well as where the largest dog meat market in South Korea is located. Although nothing has so far changed in Seongnam and its Moran Market, this is a major victory as this is only the second time that the Mayor of a Korean Sister/Friendship city has taken action to confront their Korean Sister Cities about this issue. (The first one was Glendale, California). Therefore, we need to thank them both for standing up for the voiceless. Click now to send thank you messages: http://koreandogs.org/mayor-merola-bologna/ Thank you! Compassion Through Action!
