Poland, Finland, Lithuania: Tell your Partner Country, South Korea, you oppose the torture and consumption of dogs and cats.
The Associated Press reported on 7/13/2023, “The presidents of South Korea and Poland on Thursday pledged to strengthen their security, business and trade relations….Poland is buying some $17 billion worth of advanced military equipment from South Korea.”
Yonhap News reported on 7/13/2023, “Yoon and Finnish President Sauli Niinisto agreed to strengthen cooperation not only in science and technology and arms, but also in supporting startups, handling radioactive waste and jointly researching 6G networks….In all four meetings, Yoon requested support for South Korea’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo in its southeastern city of Busan, according to his office.“
The Korea Herald reported on 7/13/2023, “South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol met with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda on Wednesday and formally informed him of Seoul’s decision to open an embassy in Vilnius, his office said….Yoon called for expanding cooperation with Lithuania — a leading nation in laser technology — in bio and other cutting-edge industries, and Nauseda expressed his agreement, saying he hopes to increase cooperation with South Korea’s leading semiconductor and display businesses.”
In South Korea, there are numerous dog farms, slaughterhouses, markets, and restaurants where the dogs, who have been tortured their entire lives, end up being slaughtered in the most inhumane ways, such as by electrocution, hanging, or beating, and then thrown into boiling water – sometimes while they are still alive. In many places, dogs are being killed in full view of other terrified, caged dogs; and this takes place in broad daylight.
We cannot stand by while South Korea continues to deceive us and inflict unimaginable cruelty on animals who consider humans guardians and companions. So we are now asking Poland, Finland, and Lithuania to urge South Korea to stop their nation's dog and cat meat industry – an illegal, brutal, and diabolical industry.
