Approximately 20% of 52 million South Koreans live in Seoul Metropolitan City, the Capital of South Korea. Therefore, Seoul and its government are very powerful.
Seoul's mayor, Oh Se-hoon, was re-elected for another term, but Seoul has many new city council members. Will the fresh new council members do something about their illegal and horrific dog meat industry? Certainly not if we don't speak out.
In Seoul, there are countless dog farms, slaughterhouses, markets, and restaurants where the dogs, who have been tortured their entire lives, end up being slaughtered in the most inhumane ways, such as by electrocution, hanging, or beating; and then thrown into boiling water – sometimes while they are still alive. In many places, dogs are being killed in full view of other terrified, caged dogs; and this takes place in broad daylight. In addition, many abandoned and stolen former pets end up in this industry and are subject to the same cruelty.
We cannot stand by while Seoul continues to deceive us and inflict unimaginable cruelty on animals who consider humans guardians and companions. Please take action today to stop the dog and cat meat industry in Seoul – an illegal, brutal, and diabolical industry.
