South Korea now has a new President who lives with four dogs and three cats. Now there is a real opportunity for our message to be heard by President Yoon Suk-Yeol’s new government and bring about the changes we have been working so hard for. During his campaign, President Yoon Suk-Yeol stated that he would end dog meat consumption through social consensus. But this “social consensus” could be an excuse to delay the ending of dog meat consumption, and it could take years or even decades!
So, let’s not waste any time: file petitions, write, or email President Yoon and ask him to address the most urgent and important animal cruelty issue existing in South Korea today – ask him to put a permanent end to the dog and cat meat consumption and bring honor to his country and its citizens!
