Nami Kim, a world-renowned activist against the dog meat trade in South Korea and a rescuer, rescued two puppies from the Hot Pot Dog Meat Restaurant, which has a history of hanging dogs to be slaughtered and served in their restaurant. Now the Incheon Prosecutor’s Office charged Nami Kim for theft. Even in South Korea where the dog meat trade is practiced as if it were legal, hanging dogs is a clear violation of the Animal Protection Act. If Nami Kim did not rescue those puppies, they would have been hanged and killed in a most tortuous way. Nami Kim did what anyone with compassion would have done in that situation. Therefore, we are asking the Incheon Prosecutor’s Office to drop all charges against Nami Kim and show the world that South Korea does not allow the hanging of any animals including companion animals. We urgently need at least 10K signatures to deliver to the prosecutor as soon as possible. https://www.change.org/p/incheon-prosecutors-office-drop-the-charges-against-nami-kim-who-rescued-two-puppies-from-dog-hanging-animal-abuser-of-hot-pot-dog-meat-restaurant-in-south-korea Everyone can make a difference.
