Hi y'all,

When you signed the petition, our intent was to write-in Gretchen Whitmer in the primaries. What we didn't realize is that 10 states don't allow write-ins and 30 more only count write-ins if the candidate submits paperwork. Since Whitmer wasn't going to do that, we had to rethink.

We are now advocating for an open Democratic National Convention where a candidate can be chosen. You have probably seen a lot of news since the Hur report last week, with a lot of commentators now advocating for Biden to drop out. We're advocating for it from below, spurred on by the voice of the people.

We have added multiple "pledge" goals to the campaign, so that as we reach new milestones we'll all do new attention-getting things together. You can read all about it on the updated petition page.
