Please Permit Marijuana Businesses on Time
It is important to regulate marijuana responsibly for the safety and health of the community by removing it from the underground market.
- Deputy Mayor
Ken Wilson (Councilor)
Thank you for taking up the important issue of implementing Amendment 64. I am writing to ask you to honor the will the voters in Colorado and implement Amendment 64 responsibly. Colorado voters have overwhelmingly supported sensible marijuana reform.
Recreational marijuana has been used and sold in Boulder for decades, but now we finally have the opportunity to regulate it, tax it, and control it. Boulder is projected to generate millions of dollars in tax revenue by permitting recreational businesses. Please put an end to Boulder's marijuana black market by responsibly permitting retail marijuana businesses.
