Sherborn crescent is a long road that runs through Canford Heath surrounded by houses and several schools. This road is constantly used as a race track by drivers even though it has a 30mph speed limit and many blind spots. Children & families use this route either as pedestrians or drivers every day but people still do not take care on this road. It is a regular occurrence to see "boy racers" or people rushing going at stupid speeds down Sherborn Crescent either because they are in a rush or just using it as a cut through not realising how the road is laid out and the dangers it can possess.

Just this year 2 children have been hit by cars and there have been so many near misses. The council have been contacted but apparently their response was "it is either the child's fault, or the drivers fault. We do not have the money to put anything on that road!" This is outrageous.

So I am appealing for everyone to sign this petition to get traffic calming measures - speed cameras, speed humps/chicanes, whatever needs doing to make this a safer road for all the residents of Canford Heath.
