They didn't want to count our votes at the European elections but they can't stop us being counted in the census as Europeans.

The UK census takes place every 10 years and this year it gives us a remarkable opportunity to declare ourselves to be Europeans.

In 2019, we should have had the right to vote in the European elections of that year...because we are Europeans. But we had our votes denied.

We now have another opportunity to stand up and be counted. 

One of the questions on the Census asks "How would you describe your national identity?". If you are a UK resident, we are suggesting you tick the box marked "Other" and fill in the word "European"

Whether as a protest against the #DeniedMyVote scandal, or simply  to express your identity, you will put down a marker in a way that 1.7m people were prevented from doing in the 2019 European elections. 

That will help us to continue to build support for a public inquiry and to keep the issue of the rights of #the5million in the public eye.
