Christina has been recognised for her work fighting injustices within the UK food system! The BBC revealed its list of 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world for 2020 today (24th November) highlighting those who are leading change and making a difference during these turbulent times and Christina has been included in that prestigious list!

Christina’s petition calling for free school meals to be extended over the holidays which received over 430k signatures, was a campaign that was picked up by Marcus Rashford.

Christina says: “I am honoured to receive this award on behalf of everyone that has fought to end child food poverty and supported Bite Back 2030. I hope this shows young people that you can do whatever you put your mind to!”

Alongside Christina, the list includes Sanna Marin, who leads Finland's all-female coalition government, Michelle Yeoh, star of the new Avatar and Marvel films and Sarah Gilbert, who heads the Oxford University research into a coronavirus vaccine, as well as Jane Fonda, a climate activist and actress.

Christina has been a member of Bite Back 2030 since it launched in Oct 2019, fighting for a fairer food system. Thank you to everyone who signed this petition and supported this important campaign!
