Hi everyone,

Last week, our voices were ignored. The government voted to abandon 1.4 million kids by not extending free school meals support through October half-term. For many, this means not being able to access a nutritious meal while schools are shut and for some, it means going hungry altogether.

As many young people face the toughest week yet of the pandemic: a week without access to a decent lunch, it’s vital that we keep campaigning to ensure this never happens again.

Thank you so much for signing this petition and supporting this campaign. Over 125,000 new people have signed since Friday and that number is continuing to rise. There are also other ways you can make an impact and get involved:

  1. Share this petition with friends, family and colleagues via social media
  2. If you’re a business owner, you can sign up to Marcus Rashford’s campaign to offer meals in your community
  3. Subscribe to Bite Back 2030’s newsletter here to stay updated on this campaign and find out more about all the work going on to make sure every young person in the country has access to healthy food

I can’t thank you enough for lending your support to such an important campaign during these uncertain times. We won’t give up until we can bring about a permanent solution for those who need it most.

Many thanks,

Christina
