Reply from Barry Saunders. Senior executive National events Director who rejected the entry for being late.
"The Entries administrator is a Voluntary Post. I am the parent of an ex-GB athlete and do this job for the benefit of the sport." He added "he is not ranked 3rd but 11th in the country.
You have the contact address of the CEO of British Swimming should you need to make any further contact with British Swimming"
The olympic trials are also a GB selection meet for the short course championships which Lewis is ranked 3rd and in the mix for selection.
A fine for submitting a late entry is understandable but to take away the right to participate in Olympic trials is a punishment heartless and severe.
Lewis arrives tomorrow to his home in Romford tapered and ready to race.
The hope remains.
